Examination

The Delhi State of Open School Education (DSOSE) has introduced a modern and learner-oriented On-Demand Examination (ODE) system to provide maximum flexibility and convenience to students of Class X and Class XII . This innovative examination model reflects DSOSE’s commitment to removing rigid academic timelines and empowering learners to appear for examinations according to their readiness and preparation level.

Under the ODE framework, student registration for Class X and XII is managed by the Registration Branch of DSOSE , which issues a unique Registration Number to each learner. Any corrections related to the registration certificate are also handled centrally by this branch, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and consistency in student records.

One of the most significant advantages of the On-Demand Examination system is that students are not required to wait for traditional six-monthly or annual examinations. Instead, learners have the freedom to select their preferred examination date, giving them full control over their academic schedule. This system is particularly beneficial for working professionals, athletes, and learners with personal or professional commitments.

DSOSE ensures a high level of security and confidentiality throughout the examination process. A multilayer security mechanism is in place, including encrypted question papers that are generated individually for each student on the day of the examination. The exams are conducted under web-based closed-circuit camera surveillance, maintaining the integrity and credibility of the assessment process.

Students can register online for the Demand Examination anytime and from anywhere, making the process simple and accessible. Hall tickets are issued online, clearly mentioning the examination date, time, and venue. The registration fee can be paid through multiple modes, including online payment via credit/debit cards or through bank draft, offering added convenience.

To further streamline operations, DSOSE uses fully automated online systems for doubt clarification, attendance submission on the day of the exam, and online submission of marks and awards by the Examination Superintendent. These digital processes ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely declaration of results.

The On-Demand Examination system, conceptualized and developed over the years, represents a significant step toward flexible and student-centric open schooling. At present, On-Demand Examinations are conducted at study centres during the first week of every month, allowing students regular opportunities to appear for exams.

Through the ODE system, DSOSE redefines assessment by placing learners at the center of the academic process, enabling them to succeed on their own terms while maintaining high standards of examination integrity and transparency.
